Privacy Policy
Lifexam is designed around your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how long we keep it. It applies to all users in the European Economic Area and beyond.
1. Data we collect
We collect your email address and name at sign-up. When you upload documents, we store the original files and the structured data extracted from them (lab values, dates, units, reference ranges, practitioner references).
2. Why we collect it
Your account data is collected to provide the service (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Your health documents are processed only with your explicit consent (GDPR Article 9(2)(a)). We never use your data for purposes beyond what you have agreed to.
3. How long we keep it
Your documents are retained until you delete them or close your account. You can delete individual documents, your entire vault, or your account at any time. Deletion is permanent and cascades to all derived data.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Infrastructure providers with access to encrypted storage are bound by data processing agreements. No identifiable health data is shared for research without a separate explicit opt-in.
5. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your data. You may withdraw consent for document storage at any time from your account settings — withdrawal will result in your vault being deleted. To exercise any other right, contact us through the app.
6. AI and research
Your documents and extracted data are never used for AI model training or aggregate research without a separate, standalone opt-in. This opt-in is not bundled with any other consent and can be withdrawn independently.
